\ I am living in Thailand now, on an island called Naka. You can see the Spa where I work as a consultant, yoga-teacher and staff-trainer by visiting: http://www.sixsenses.com/Six-Senses-Destinations-Spa-Phuket/index.php I have been very happy these 3 years spent in China. I love the Chinese and non-Chinese students who trusted me and attended my 200-hour TTCs, and teaching these TTCs has been the most rewarding time in my stay in China. I will come back for sure. Many thanks to all "my" students (I'd rather say I am 'your' teacher). You have taught me a lot. See you soon, Insh Allah! \ 200 hour teacher training course from July 5 to August 30, 2008 with Yogayantra. It is also a "Continuing Education" programme for teachers. At 光胤yoga studio in Pudong. To see what "Continuing Education" is, please visit www.yogaalliance.org. \ A 300 hour-teacher training course, Level 2, led by Yoga Arts at Yogashala studio. It will allow students who already have a 200-hour TTC with Yoga Alliance to become 500-hour Registered Yoga-teachers (RYT). Even if you are not a 200 RYT, you can also attend this course. For all information and see the teachers who are coming to Shanghai, please visit www.yogashalashanghai.com. The first part is June 10 to June 24, the second part is September 7 to 21, 2008. This TTC will be lead by Yoga Arts, the best yoga school in Australia, with my participation. Four teachers are coming from Australia. You can see them by visiting their website www.yogarts.com.au. This course is open to all: anyone can join any classes: From June 10 to 24, the classes will be: 7.00-8.30: pranayama & meditation 8.30-10.30: advanced vinyasa ("flow")
I (杜美妮 in Chinese) need to remain free from long-term commitments such as having my own yoga-studio.
In all my retreats and TTCs, I teach with the accuracy and precision to detail as in "Iyengar" style, while incorporating the dynamic of a Vinyasa style. I also insist on "personal responsibility" from the students: students must be aware of their own body, and develop a greater awareness and intelligence through practice. Then they decide how far to go, given my guiding instructions. I do not believe in force, but in modifications to suit the individual doing the practice. Yogayantra's TTCs are for all students: beginners to advanced yogis. TTCs are not just for those who want to teach. They are a unique opportunity to deepen your yoga-asana practice, and to discover topics not taught in public classes such as deep pranayama, meditation techniques, yoga-related anatomy, philosophy and history of Yoga. These TTCs are open to all on a drop-in basis. As required by Yoga Alliance, the 200-hour TTC includes of anatomy, prevention and management of injuries, philosophy, teaching methodology, practicum (each student teaches a small group of students), and practice (asanas, pranayama, meditation). There is an excellent Chinese/English interpreter during the whole TTC.
Yogayantra is a member of Yoga Alliance, meets their standards and qualifies to issue certificates if you would like to become an RYT (registered yoga teacher).
